What this is
My Website in your IDX Plugin dashboard builds a complete real estate website for you. You pick one of four designs and a WordPress site on our MyHome theme is created, styled and connected to your IDX Broker account, with the search form and the listing widgets already showing your own MLS data. It runs on our space, we keep it running and backed up, and you have full administrator access from the first minute.
Nothing is assembled by hand and nothing is public straight away. The finished website goes on a private test address protected by a PIN, so you decide who sees it and when it goes live.

How to launch it, step by step

Connect your IDX Broker account
The website is built around your MLS data, so your IDX Broker API key has to be in your IDX Plugin account first. Getting Started shows where to paste it. If you do not have an IDX Broker account yet, we set one up with you and the $100 setup fee is waived.

Pick a design and start the build
Open My Website in your dashboard. Preview demo opens the live demo of a design, Create this website starts the build. That is the only decision you have to make here, and it is not final: the design shapes the starting point, everything in it can be changed afterwards.

We build it while you do something else
The build runs on its own: your space is set up, WordPress and the MyHome theme are installed, your design is applied, the setup is finished and your live IDX listings are connected. It takes a few minutes and it keeps going in the background, so you can close the tab and come back later.

Look around on the private address
The finished website sits on a private address protected by a PIN, so you can look around and share it with a colleague or a client before anything is public. The whole private mode, sharing included, is covered in Share Your Website Privately with a PIN.

Publish it on your own domain
When you are happy with the website, publish it on a domain or a subdomain you own: one A record at your registrar, automatic verification, free SSL. The flow and what publishing changes are covered in Publish Your Website on Your Own Domain.
What publishing changes
Creating the website changes nothing on your current setup, it stays private on its own address for as long as you like. Publishing switches the account-wide IDX Broker page wrapper to this website, so your IDX Broker property pages take their header and footer from here. The details, including the optional checkbox that applies the design to your Global Styles, are in Publish Your Website on Your Own Domain. Setting up our IDX Broker templates then brings the inside of those pages in line with the rest of the website.
Backups, and starting over
The website is backed up automatically every 24 hours and the backups are kept for 14 days. Any version can be restored with one click, so a bad edit is never a problem. The first backup appears within 24 hours of the build, which is why a brand new website shows an empty list at the start. If you decide the website is not for you, Delete this website removes it and nothing else on your account is affected.
Finish it yourself, or let us finish it
It is a normal WordPress site. Open WordPress admin signs you in as an administrator, and from there you add pages and posts, swap photos, change the logo and adjust the styling exactly like on any WordPress installation. Pages are built with Elementor, so most of the editing is drag and drop. The MyHome IDX Theme guide covers the editing side.
